What we make

Three forms.

What we make
Data Story
Explain a complex subject.
A guided narrative: the subject set out in sequence, each step shown with the evidence behind it, and the visualization, the motion and the sources built into the story rather than attached to it.
The form for an investigation, an issue explainer, a report given an interactive life, or a timeline — a subject the reader is meant to follow from beginning to end.
Used for
- Investigations
- Issue explainers
- Report experiences
- Timelines
What we make
Interactive Explorer
Let people search, filter, compare and map the evidence.
Direct, hands-on access to a dataset. The reader chooses the question: search a name, filter by country or mineral, compare two cases, map the whole set, inspect the record behind any point.
Trackers, atlases, public databases and comparative tools: the form for evidence people need to work through themselves, one project, company or country at a time, with every view a shareable URL.
Used for
- Trackers
- Atlases
- Public databases
- Comparative tools
What we make
Intelligence Platform
Support ongoing research and decisions for professional teams.
A private or hybrid system a team works in over time: research a subject, monitor what changes, compare cases — with secure access, roles, and review and approval built in where the work needs them.
Research systems, monitoring platforms, evidence registries and analytical workspaces, with watchlists, scheduled briefings, downloads and APIs where a team needs them.
Used for
- Research systems
- Monitoring platforms
- Evidence registries
- Analytical workspaces
